A few weeks ago, I wrote about transparency and awareness and how important both are for organizations. Most agree that company goals and OKRs should be transparent and visible to everyone. However, some organizations are uncomfortable with that level of transparency and struggle, for example, to share financial targets company-wide. There is a simple solution to this.

First of all, financial targets are important. A lot of different people will be involved in trying to achieve financial targets. Therefore, it is important that all these people will be able to see if the company is on track to meet them.

If you don’t want to share the targets in real numbers, you can easily set them up as a relative value  (e.g. % growth). That way, no one in the organization knows the exact numbers but everyone will be able to see if the company is on track to meet its targets.
