A new way to look at Doerr's football example

If you’ve read Measure What Matters, you’re probably familiar with the famous football analogy that John Doerr provides on page 81 and beyond. If you’ve read our critique of Measure What Matters, you might be wondering what that football analogy would look like following Perdoo’s approach to OKR. If that’s the case, you’re not alone.

Recently, we received the following message:

I am new to OKRs and was trying to find some good resources. Perdoo’s was the best I found. I like your approach. Thank you!

Side note, I did not think John Doerr’s football team OKR example was in line with your model. I mocked up the football example using what I gleaned from your model of OKRs (see attached).

Did you guys ever redo the football example? Is the attached close enough to your model?
